Popular with hikers and photographers alike, Punch Bowl Falls sits on Eagle Creek about two miles south of the Columbia River. To many, the aptly named falls resembles a ladle dipping into a punchbowl. In fact, the use of punchbowl to describe a type
of
waterfall
began with Punch Bowl Falls.
It is one of many waterfalls along Eagle Creek Trail, which has a trailhead in Hood River County near the county line with Multnomah County.
