​Categories of Assistance Programs

The business assistance programs listed in the How To Start a Business in Oregon ​are divided into three categories:

1. Management and technical services
   
2. Financial resources
3. Marketing and international trade assistance

Some programs provide assistance in more than one area.

This is not a complete list of resources available in Oregon.

Management and Technical Services​​

The Oregon Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network

The Oregon Small Business Development Center Network provides services to the business community including business counseling, training, and referrals. These are for both new and ongoing businesses.

Small Business Develo​pment Centers ​ (SBDCs) have classes for starting a business. SBDCs also offer publications and other resources. Assistance is available in the areas of international trade and technology transfer.

For more information call the SBDC Network Office or the SBDC in your area. There is an SBDC at each of Oregon's community colleges and other state educational institutions.
