The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) is responsible for improving the lifelong health of Oregonians, improving quality and access to health services, and containing and lowering health care costs. OHA oversees a system of coordinated care organizations (CCOs) that serve most of the more than 1 million members of the Oregon Health Plan, Oregon’s Medicaid program. The 15 CCOs work with partners in all 36 Oregon counties to provide better care at lower cost. OHA is overseen by the nine-member citizen Oregon Health Policy Board and carries out its work through several program areas.
