Discontinuing the Initiative or Referendum Process
The chief petitioner may withdraw an initiative or referendum petition any time prior to submitting signatures for verification.
To withdraw the petition, the chief petitioner must file the following form with the appropriate elections official:

The elections official discontinues the initiative or referendum process. The chief petitioner cannot reactivate the withdrawn petition.
Currently, political party formation petitions may not be withdrawn.
