Overview of UCC eFiling Essentials
- The date of your filing will be given once your payment has been processed successfully.
- Data is saved to our database exactly as you type it.
- Character limitations are noted on the screen.
- At least one debtor and secured party is required to file successfully online.
- You need a valid email address for payment processing; this is where the credit card receipt will be sent.
- We don't have the ability to provide a duplicate copy of your credit card receipt or of the eFiled UCC PDF for you.
- You need a valid VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover to file electronically.
Tips for eFiling - Section by Section
Collateral
- There is a 4,000 character limit when filing online. A character counter shows you how many characters you have typed/have left to type.
- No attachments can be uploaded when filing online.
- There is no spell check in place at this time.
- Private information is not public record. Please don't enter any personally identifiable information. A few examples include Social Security numbers, tax ID numbers, account numbers, and driver’s license numbers, etc.
If you need more space for collateral or have attachments, please submit via paper filing using mail or fax.
Optional Information
- Information in this area won't be indexed in our database but is part of the stored information. It is viewable if you order a copy report or click on the image icon in an online search results page.
- Please don't enter any personally identifiable information. A few examples include Social Security numbers, tax ID numbers, account numbers, driver’s license numbers, etc.
Payment/Store
- There is only one filing per credit card transaction at this time.
- Email address is a required field, because this is the only way you will receive your receipt.
- After payment has been processed successfully, you will be returned to the UCC Online Application. Here you will be provided a PDF containing the information entered and your file number. At this point, you can enter another filing if you wish.
