Present Duties
The board is charged with regulating landscape architecture practice in the state. They review complaints related to registrant practices and unlicensed practices and set examination, education and experience standards for landscape architect licensure. The board includes four Oregon registered landscape architects and three public members. It is served by two staff filling the roles of administrator (executive director) and registration specialist.
Landscape architects licensed in other states or jurisdictions can apply for registration in Oregon but must meet all of the board’s standards. Firms that provide landscape architectural services must also be registered. More than 540 landscape architects are registered to practice in Oregon. Approximately 200 firms are registered with the board.
