The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) works to help Oregonians in their own communities achieve safety, well-being and independence. The Director’s Office is responsible for overall leadership, policy development and administrative oversight of programs, staff, and offices in ODHS. These functions are coordinated with the Office of the Governor, Oregon Legislature, other state and federal agencies, partners and stakeholders. 

Key functions include Financial Services, Human Resources, Data and Research, Legislative Relations, Communications, Tribal Relations, Equity and Multicultural Services, Resilience and Emergency Management, Federal Financial Policy, Governor’s Advocacy Office, and Internal Audits. The director’s office also coordinates operations that support service delivery, including Contracts and Procurement, Facilities Services, Imaging and Records Management Services, Background Checks, Information Support Systems, Business Information Supports, Publications and Creative Services, Payment Accuracy and Re​​covery and Program Integrity.​
